Arabic Language Courses

School Year

• The classes begin mid-september and end mid-may for all levels and ages.

• The school year consists of 28 weeks of courses including a few social and cultural activities/events.

• The courses are available to students ages 4 to 14 years old, divided into 7 different levels.

• Three courses are also available for adults: Conversation, Beginner level and Intermediate level. 12 adults per group maximum.

• Courses are given in OFFICIAL STANDARD INTERNATIONAL ARABIC, except conversation classes for adults, given in Egyptian Arabic Accent.

Courses take place only on Saturday , from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM and consist of three periods:

Please use the entrance on the parking side (back of the school) and take the steps down to the cafetria. This is the only entance used for kids security.

Registration and Fees

• The registration fees are $ 25 per family / year (not refundable).
   

• The annual fees are:

$ 270 per child

(10% off for a 3rd child and 15% off for a 4th cild)

• For adults the annual fees are $ 385.
   

• The cost of pedgogical material and other supplies is $ 25 per student (not refundable).

•  

• The payment must be done at the time of the registration in one or two payments (The second payment in December). First payment must be 60% of total amount and cheques payable to Arabic Language School.

•  

• You can register at school on Saturday between 10 AM and 12, or you can download the registration form HERE and send it by mail to our postal address with your first payment (Cheques to be made for ARABIC LANGUAGE SCHOOL).

Regulations

For the school to succeed its mission and to insure continuous cooperation from the hosting school students will be supervised by parents during the school day according to a schedule prepared by the supervision committee.

During the school year, we urge parents and supervisors to consider and comply with the following points:

- Be on time for arrival and dismissal of classes.

- Students should keep the school and classrooms clean.

- Presence in the gymnasium is ONLY permitted wearing sports shoes or socks.     Winter boots are forbidden in the gym.

- Foods and beverages are allowed ONLY in the cafeteria.

- Students should not be sent to school if they are sick with a contagious disease, and that, to protect the other student.

- Inform the school immediately if your child will be absent.

- All student belongings (books, exercise books, school bags, clothes…) should be identified by the student’s name. That will make it easy to recognize them if they are lost.

- Give importance to the school letters or bulletins sent to parents with their children.

- Attend the periodic meetings organized to discuss the curriculum, students progress, or subjects of importance to the school present and future.

- Inform the school administration of any accident, misbehavior, or infraction of the rules to take the necessary actions.

In case of class cancellation due to snow storms or other reasons (power outage, strike…) the school will advise you by phone. Accordingly, please advise the school immediately of any change in address or phone number.
